LEARN PRACTICAL SKILLS FOR YOUR PASSIONS
MUSICAL THEATRE VOCAL AUDITION WORKSHOP
Would you like to get one on one feedback on an audition cut for future college auditions? Would you like to brush up on your auditioning skills? Are you brand new to the world of musical theatre and would like to delve into getting a song audition-ready? Then come and be a part of Debatable Productions’ Musical Theatre Audition Workshop! You will get to be a part of a masterclass in which you will present one audition cut and workshop it-including the acting, subtext, and vocals of the piece. You will then get to experience a mock audition that resembles current musical theatre auditions. Taught by Chelsy Cordon (BFA Music Theatre, American Musical and Dramatic Academy), this workshop is designed for performers by performers. This workshop is excellent preparation for the upcoming college audition and for performers who are brand new, as well. Come refine your skills in a supportive environment!
Sign-In/Warmup: 4:00pm-4:30pm. Please arrive 15 minutes early to park and get settled. Bring a track with the instrumental of your audition song, sheet music, and water. Dress evocative of the part you want.
Below are a list of the musicals of the mock season for the Musical Theatre Workshop! All attendees will bring a 32 Bar Audition cut in the style of one of these shows.
